Earlier today, Montclair Police Officers joined law enforcement from across the nation to honor Newark Police Detective Joseph Azcona. Detective Azcona was posthumously promoted to the rank of Sergeant within the Newark Police Department.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sergeant Azcona’s family and colleagues as they navigate this difficult time. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the Newark Police Department.

Please keep Detective Azcona’s family, the Newark Police Department, and all law enforcement officers nationwide in your prayers.
